Workplace strategy is the process of aligning an organisation's physical environment with the way its people, teams and customers actually behave. It sits upstream of interior design and fit-out: before layouts are drawn or materials selected, a workplace strategy consultant establishes how much space you genuinely need, what types of space those are, and where they should be located.
In Oman, that conversation is now driven by a mix of factors — hybrid and flexible working patterns, rising commercial rents in Muscat and Seeb, expansion into secondary cities such as Sohar, Nizwa, Sur, Salalah and Ibri, and a growing expectation that workplaces support wellbeing, focus and collaboration rather than simply accommodating desks.
BMTC's workplace strategy service is suitable for organisations that are relocating, renewing a lease, consolidating multiple offices, restructuring teams, or simply unsure whether their current footprint is working. It is also useful before a major refurbishment, because it prevents design decisions being made on assumptions that later prove expensive.
Findings are documented in a written strategy report with supporting data, scenario models and space standards. That report can then be handed to any architect, interior designer or fit-out contractor — including our own team, or a completely independent one. Where a project moves into delivery, BMTC can support office space planning in Oman and the subsequent office fit-out process.
