Coastal Interior Design Services in Oman

Coastal interior design is a style inspired by the sea, shoreline and beach living. It features a palette of whites, soft blues, sandy neutrals and sea greens, combined with natural textures such as linen, rattan, jute and weathered wood. The result is a calm, airy, effortlessly relaxed interior.

At BMTC, we adapt coastal design principles to suit Oman's climate, architecture and lifestyle. Whether you're designing a villa in Muscat, an apartment in Al Khuwair, a majlis in Seeb, a café in Qurum or a boutique hotel in Salalah, we create coastal interiors that feel authentic, functional and perfectly suited to your space.

This style is ideal for homeowners seeking a fresh, serene alternative to dark or heavy interiors, businesses wanting a welcoming and contemporary brand environment, and anyone drawn to natural materials, light-filled spaces and effortless elegance.

BMTC sources and specifies materials that capture the essence of coastal design while being suitable for Oman's climate and lifestyle. Common materials include:

• Linen & cotton fabrics — for upholstery, curtains and soft furnishings that feel light and breathable
• Rattan, cane & jute — for furniture, rugs and lighting that add natural texture
• Light or whitewashed timber — for floors, cabinetry and furniture with a breezy, sun-bleached feel
• Natural stone & ceramic tiles — for floors, walls and countertops with a cool, clean aesthetic
• Weathered or driftwood-style finishes — for feature furniture and decorative accents
• Glass & mirror elements — to maximise light and reflect the airy coastal atmosphere

We advise on the best material combinations for your specific space, taking into account durability, maintenance, climate suitability and budget. Every material is selected to ensure your coastal interior looks authentic and performs well over time.

BMTC is based in Muscat and has extensive experience delivering interior design and fit-out projects throughout Oman. We understand the local climate, building regulations and the unique requirements of Omani homes and businesses.

For coastal interiors in Oman, we adapt the style to suit local conditions — using materials that perform well in heat and humidity, maximising natural light while managing solar gain, and respecting the architectural context of your property. Whether you're in a villa in Qurum, an apartment in Al Khuwair, a café in Seeb or a hotel in Salalah, we create coastal interiors that feel both authentic and appropriate for their setting.

Our team provides on-site surveys, design consultations and project supervision across all our service areas. We also coordinate with local suppliers and craftsmen to source materials and execute work to a high standard.
